"Ner cast a cloot till May is oot"!!!!!!

Rain, snow, wind, sun, (very little of that!) and we are in May !!!!
The quote above is one of my wee Grannies old sayings and it is so true, just when you think Spring has sprung and we should look to spring clean ! bam !!!!! it's winter again !!!! I set about cleaning all my horse rugs, grubby and mucky, Yukkkkk!!!! you can only imagine what I was finding one them, any way one after one they were pushing screaming and shouting into the now very over worked 10 year old washing machine which was sent to the old shed when my new shinny model arrived, hung one by one on the washing line which I thought was going to buckle under the weight, swaying from side to side drying nicely in the beautiful May sunshine, I thought now is the time to scoot round to Morrisons for my shopping. On the way I was sure I spotted some snow flakes on my windscreen ! NO CAN'T BE ! Standing at the end of a very long line of shoppers checking out I was sure I could hear raining stoating (old Scottish word) off the supermarket roof ! NO CAN'T BE ! Walking out the supermarket doors, YES CAN BE ! it was stoating from the heavens !!! Just about in tears I drove home so despondent at the sight I was faced with, hanging like droont (another old Scottish word) rats on the line, my rugs were soaked through, so "Ner cast a cloot till May is oot" was so true. Thanks Granny I must learn to take heed of these old Scottish sayings x

I have totally neglected my blog recently, purely due to the fact I have had lots to do with the horses. Aria is slowly but surely getting back to her old self, so that's good news, although I did loose one of our lambs, Ben, he had a hole in his urethra and had to be put to sleep, so sad news though best for him at the end of the day. I did manage to rescue two little lame duck lambs to keep Billy company, one is called Beyonce, she has the most beautiful little black face and the bandiest front legs you have ever seen, the other is called Bonny, she is so tiny and blind in one eye, they both have "joint ill" which is a kind of arthritis in the joints (too long and winded to explain) and would have been no use as breeding sheep, so they were heading off to market until I decided they would suit Billy to a tee. He just loves them and is so protective of them, he even stands by each one when they have to have their daily injection of anti-biotics. Eilidh calls them Billys bitches !!!! they are so cute.

I have made some time to make a few cards though, I have posted them below, hope you like them.
