DAY AT THE BEACH

I try to take the horses to the beach as often as I can so we headed off on Monday loaded with all sorts of goodies for a picnic, roast beef rolls, muffins, crisps and a big flask of tea. It was a lovely sunny day and the horses were in great form. Eilidh rode Little Rock, the little Connemara pony we have just backed, Anjie rode Aria, my baby who was having her first outing to the beach and I rode Snowie, my big guy, we galloped and laughed and had a great time. Exhausted we sat down to eat our goodies. Rug out, rolls out, flask out, OH!! how heavenly, I unwrapped my yummy roll, it smelled d'lish, Eilidh pointed out a little black dog who seemed to be lost then it disappeared...........suddenly from no where little black terror snuck up behind me, jumped up in the air and in a flash nicked my yummy roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................... he took off like a bullet out a gun ( hope you enjoyed it you little tinker) Rather miffed I thought Oh Well lets have a wee cuppa, as I lifted the flask out the bag I heard an almighty crack........... the flask had only gone and popped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......................... RIGHT by now I am nearly in tears, whats left, the muffin, I dug down to the bottom of the bag, I then had a Victor Meldrew moment, "I don't believe it" I have only gone and left them on the breakfast bar. In the meantime, Anjie and Eilidh are rolling about in the grass holding there sides laughing................It was a lovely day and the best thing about it was to laugh and have so much fun with two people that mean so much to me. We headed home and to soften the blow I decided to make a card. I noticed when I was blog hopping, Sue over at http://suesassortedramblings.blogspot.com/ is raising money for Ovarian Cancer Research, so this one is for you Sue, I only hope I am not too late to send it to you.
I decided to make it 8x8" used a stamp I have had for ages, colored with cops, the PS is from DK and the sentiment is SU.
Finally I am off to put my blinds and curtains back up after having new windows put in my kitchen, ii is amazing how dirty these things get and also it is amazing how they never look the same after they are washed. Annette

Oh dear Annette, it's so annoying when things like that happen, especially when you're really looking forward to them! I am soooooooooo jealous!!!! I wish we had a beach near here where I could take Dougal for a gallop along, that's one on my things I have to do!!! I wish I could have joined you!
Gorgeous card, so pretty, love the colours xx
